Bio:

April Bell is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and ACRP Certified Project Manager (ACRP-PM) with more than 20 years of experience in clinical research administration, operations, education, and study management. As Director of the Office of Clinical Research at JPS Health Network, she provides strategic leadership for all aspects of the research enterprise, including clinical trial operations, regulatory compliance, financial management, contracting, budgeting, workforce development, and study start-up activities. Her expertise spans the full clinical trial lifecycle, from feasibility and activation through enrollment, study conduct, and closeout, with extensive experience in sponsor relations, regulatory affairs, and research program development.

A passionate advocate for expanding access to clinical research, April is dedicated to increasing research opportunities for underserved and underrepresented patient populations. She has successfully built collaborative partnerships across clinical, financial, legal, pharmacy, laboratory, and administrative departments to strengthen research infrastructure and improve patient access to innovative therapies. Through her leadership, she continues to advance high-quality, compliant research programs that support both scientific discovery and equitable healthcare delivery.
